In memory of Jack Boericke

Tri for more.

Providing training, triathlon equipment and a structured team environment for young people who want to become involved in the sport.

Our purpose

The aim of
the Foundation.

The Jack Boericke Foundation is a charitable organisation set up in London in August 2011 in memory of Jack Boericke, who was one of the leading youth triathletes in Great Britain.

He died at the tragically young age of 16 shortly after he had been selected to attend a British Triathlon Talent Squad training camp.

The aim of the Jack Boericke Foundation is to provide training and triathlon equipment and to offer the benefit of a structured and competitive team environment to young people who want to become involved with the sport of Triathlon.

The Foundation especially wants to attract into Triathlon those potential athletes who would otherwise be put off the sport due to the relatively high cost of training and equipment.

The training is currently provided by the highly experienced and qualified coaching staff of the Optima Racing Team.

As one of the most structured and organised Triathlon clubs in the country, Optima Racing Team provides support and offers a well organised programme of training in all four Triathlon disciplines (Swimming, Cycling, Running and Transitions). All athletes benefit from the outstanding coaching expertise, friendly and supportive junior and senior training environment and the competitive approach of the Optima Racing Team set up. Based in Kew in West London, Optima Racing Team runs a series of ‘Try a Tri’ days, introductory training sessions, summer camps, regular training programmes as well as residential training camps.

The Jack Boericke Foundation wants to encourage participation by triathletes up to 18 years of age, of all abilities and backgrounds (whether new to Triathlon or not) and would like to hear from you today.

U.S. donors please note: Our apologies, but we cannot accept U.S. issued American Express cards. Also, we have found that many MasterCard and Visa issuers will initially block donations from the U.S. as potentially fraudulent. If this happens, you should receive a communication from your card issuer asking you to confirm the transaction. After doing so, you will need to re-enter the donation. We apologize for the inconvenience. We are investigating ways to eliminate these hurdles, but in the meantime ask for your indulgence. If you continue to have problems, please contact Brad Boericke at boerickj@pepperlaw.com.
